| Applicants are invited for a postdoctoral position in mathematics at University Paris-Saclay (Orsay) funded by the ERC Starting Grant Saphidir. The subject of this ERC project is algebraic geometry, in particular Birational Geometry, Cremona groups and algebraic groups.
The postdoctoral researcher will be part of the Laboratoire de Mathématiques d'Orsay and will have access to funding for travel and visitors. The postdoctoral researcher will work closely with Susanna Zimmermann (https://susannazimmermann.github.io). This is a research positions; no teaching is required. French language skills are not required.
The position is scheduled to start on 1 September 2023 but the starting date is flexible. The candidate must have completed their PhD by 31 August 2023 or before the starting date.
