We are recruiting four highly motivated post-doctoral fellows to join the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Mathematical Analysis of Cellular Systems (MACSYS); the world’s largest focused research initiative in mathematical biology. MACSYS brings together mathematical, computational, and biological scientists to generate the mathematics and computational technologies required to make biology predictive. Two of the four positions are targeted at applied mathematicians, the third position is targeted at applied statistician, and the fourth position is targeted at a computer scientist. In addition to the primary role of conducting research to contribute to the MACSYS mission there may be opportunities to teach undergraduate or postgraduate courses in mathematical sciences. Candidates with expertise in computational mathematics, mathematical modelling with continuum models, and mathematical modelling with stochastic models are required for the applied mathematics positions. Candidates with expertise in computational statistics and inference are required for the position in applied statistics. Candidates with expertise in text mining and associated methods are required for the position in computer science. Note position closes 31 May 2024 11:30PM Australian Eastern Standard Time. |
