Position Description:    

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Toronto, invites applications for a full-time contractually-limited term appointment (CLTA) at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream. The expected start date of the appointment is July 1, 2018, ending on June 30, 2021.

Candidates are required to possess a PhD in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics at the time of appointment or shortly thereafter. Candidates with teaching expertise in any area of Mathematics in a degree granting program may apply. Duties include teaching and coordinating undergraduate courses in Mathematics along with closely related administrative tasks. Salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate must have demonstrated excellence in teaching and pedagogy, have a strong mathematical background, and have excellent organizational and communication skills. Excellence in these areas will be demonstrated through teaching evaluations, strong letters of reference and the teaching dossier submitted as part of the application.
