Position Description:    

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Susquehanna University invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor beginning August 2018. Applicants must be able to teach across the mathematics curriculum and to teach some introductory computer science courses as needed. A Ph.D. in mathematics or a related discipline is required.

Applicants will serve as the Coordinator of Analytical Thought, our general education courses that teach students in solving problems and in exploring, understanding, and evaluating information and ideas. The Coordinator appointment carries one course of reassigned time to engage faculty in best pedagogical practices to achieve the learning goals for analytical thought. The candidate’s cover letter should address their interest and ability to serve as Coordinator.
