North Dakota State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics to begin on August 16, 2018.

The required qualifications are: a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics with focus on Optimal Control and Estimation; a strong record or demonstrated potential for high quality research; evidence of and potential for effective teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate level; a commitment to departmental and university service; and effective oral and written communication skills.

Preference will be given to candidates with postdoctoral experience whose research has applications in the areas of Biology or Public Health, with priority given to candidates whose interests are consonant with those of the current faculty.
