| Valparaiso University’s Department of Mathematics and Computer Science announces a tenure track position available at the rank of assistant professor, beginning August 2012. The department seeks an applicant with a degree in mathematics or statistics (Ph.D. preferred, and required for tenure), with an emphasis on biostatistics. In addition to strong academic qualifications and excellence in teaching, the University highly values experience in working across cultural and other significant differences. Candidates should be interested in working at a university engaged in issues in Christian higher education in the Lutheran tradition. Applications from women and minorities are encouraged. Duties include: teach 21 credit hours per year, continued scholarly activity, and service to the department and university.
