Applications are invited for postdoctoral research opportunities in Mathematics, tenable from 1 April 2018 (or a date to be agreed).  This is funded by an ERC Advanced Grant “Exponential Sums, Translation Invariance, and Applications”, which aims to develop and study the efficient congruencing/decoupling methods in analytic number theory; it covers a wide range of topics including exponential sums, the Hardy-Littlewood (circle) method, quantitative arithmetic geometry, restriction theory, function fields, and additive combinatorics.
