Applications are invited for a full-time Research Fellow position to work with Professor Karen Page on the project ''Mathematical Modelling of Diatom Frustule Morphogenesis and Evolution of Shape''.

The responsibilities of the post will include: carrying out vigorous, high-level research in the area of diatom shell morphogenesis and the evolution of diatom shape, using mathematical modelling, studying the behaviour of the partial differential equations that describe the models, both numerically and analytically, defining shape descriptors for the diatom shells and superimposing them on diatom phylogenies to gain insight into the evolution of shape.
