The Department of Mathematics at William & Mary is recruiting a pool of persons for the Spring 2022 semester for possible adjunct teaching positions. This pool will be accessed when and only when an opening arises and is based on funding. Your credentials will remain active while this pool is open; usually for the academic year. After one year, if you are still interested, you must reapply to the most current applicant pool. Only those selected for an interview or for further consideration will be contacted. Possible positions include general lecture instructors, and those with teaching experience in courses in operations research and statistics. Candidates interested in future openings should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a statement of diversity and inclusion, and a list of three references with contact information to our online system at http://jobs.wm.edu. We require a MS degree in Mathematics or a closely related field and subject matter expertise as evidenced in CV. We prefer a PhD in Mathematics or at least 2 years of relevant academic teaching. All staff and faculty must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination must be provided on the employee’s first day of employment. If an accommodation is needed, please contact Human Resources. For full consideration, please submit a CV, cover letter, teaching statement, and a Diversity – Inclusion statement to https://jobs.wm.edu. This site will also ask for the names and email addresses of 3 or more references (at least one concerning teaching). After submission, your references will be contacted by us via email with instructions on submitting a letter of reference. Review of applications begins 10/12/2021 and will continue until the need is filled. William & Mary values diversity and invites applications from underrepresented groups who will enrich the research, teaching and service missions of the university. The university is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and encourages applications from women, minorities, protected veterans, and individuals with disabilities.
