The department of Mathematics of ETH Zurich offers a two-year postdoctoral position in Probability in the group of Prof. Vincent Tassion. The position can possibly be extended by one year.

The applicant must have a strong background in Probability Theory. Candidates with interests in Percolation Theory, Ising Model, Boolean Functions are particularly encouraged to apply.

The successful applicants will work in the group of Vincent Tassion, with possible collaborations with other groups at ETH (e.g. Benny Sudakov, Alessio Figalli, Afonso Bandeira).

The position comes with a light teaching duty (co-organization of student seminars, supervision of Bachelor and Master students, possibility of giving an advanced course in probability).

Requirements: Candidates must hold a PhD either in Mathematics, Theoretical Computer Science, Statistics, Theoretical Physics. The selection will be based on the excellence of previous scientific achievements and the quality and relevance of the scientific project.

Start date: The start date will be September 1st 2024 (flexible).
