Postdoc Positions in Mathematics EPFL - École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne - Institute of Mathematics School of Basic Sciences 

The Chair of Number Theory at the EPFL invites applications for a postdoc position. The first deadline is October 15th 2025. 

We seek outstanding candidates in Number Theory, focusing on the theory of automorphic forms and having strong interest in formalization of mathematics. 

The anticipated starting date is Summer 2026 and is flexible; the initial duration of the position is 1 year, with the possibility of renewal for up to 4 years.

The candidates should have 
  1. A Ph.D. in Mathematics (be near completion). 
  2. A strong research record in number theory and related fields. 
  3. A robust background in the theory of authomorphic forms and formalization of mathematics. 
  4. Proficiency in English; Knowledge of French is not required.
