Position Description

The Department of Mathematics at Bilkent University invites applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position in Number Theory; Ph.D. required.

Fund: The position will be funded jointly by Bilkent University and a TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye) project, led by Associate Professor Hamza Yesilyurt

Who should apply?: The position is open to strong candidates working in Number Theory. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: q-series, modular forms, partitions

Start date: October of 2026.
