The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) includes the Department of Mathematics. Responsibilities: Teach a variety of undergraduate Mathematics courses from introductory to advanced. In particular, teach courses designed for pre-service elementary & middle education students. Advise majors. Assist with program assessment and development of materials to support active learning. Support STEM education outreach programs. Teach in coordinated general education offerings. Active participation in departmental and University service and development of a program of scholarship that includes undergraduate students are expected.

Minimum Qualifications: ABD or Doctorate in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or closely related field required. Must be committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population.

If selected candidate is ABD, they will be hired at the rank of Instructor, with the requirement that the candidate finish the doctoral degree within the first year of employment.

The department is especially interested in candidates with a clear potential for an inclusive and student-centered teaching style. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to contribute positively to a collegial environment required. Early-career candidates with interest in teaching at a regional comprehensive university are strongly encouraged to apply.
