The Department of Mathematics at Rider University invites applications for a one-year full-time position at the rank of Acting Assistant Professor or Instructor (depending upon qualifications) for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The successful candidate will teach 9 credits of undergraduate mathematics courses each semester, maintain an active research program (incorporating undergraduates in a research agenda, attending and presenting at conferences and working on publications), and contribute to department and university service (advising students, organizing activities for math club, etc.). Candidates should have a commitment to excellence in their teaching and to creating an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body.

Rider is a private university located near Princeton, NJ, and within easy driving distance or train ride to New York City and Philadelphia.

Position Qualifications:

For appointment at the rank of Acting Assistant Professor, a Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field is expected by August 31, 2022.

For appointment at the rank of Acting Instructor, a Master's degree in mathematics or a related field is expected by August 31, 2022.

Preference will be given to candidates who have college teaching experience and demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and to creating an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body.
