Schmid College of Science and Technology at Chapman University seeks applicants for a non-tenure track, full-time position of Instructional Assistant Professor of Math, effective August 2023. Chapman University seeks faculty members to fill a full-time non-tenure track position as Instructional Assistant Professor of Mathematics in the Schmid College of Science and Technology (SCST). The SCST offers a B.S. degree in Mathematics and provides Mathematics instruction for the Chapman University General Education Program and for other degree programs at the University. The SCST also offers a wide variety of degrees in science disciplines and is deeply committed to excellence in scholarship and teaching, including providing students with personalized educational experiences involving mentoring and collaborative research. Qualifications:

Requirements include a terminal degree in mathematics or closely related field and evidence of strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching is essential. All areas of mathematics will be considered. Salary is highly competitive and commensurate with professional experience and qualifications. Candidates in all disciplines of mathematics are welcome to apply if they can demonstrate a proven history of success in teaching mathematics at the undergraduate level.

Responsibilities:

Duties include teaching four mathematics courses each semester, mentoring students and providing service to the College and to the University. The position begins fall semester, 2023.
