Mount Mercy University is a Catholic, coeducational University founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1928 enrolling approximately 1800 students. The University offers a variety of liberal arts, professional, accelerated and graduate degree programs on a picturesque campus overlooking the city. Mount Mercy University's Department of Natural and Applied Sciences invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in mathematics at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2018. 

Responsibilities include instruction of diverse undergraduate courses for mathematics majors, K - 12 education majors with mathematics endorsements, actuarial science, and non-majors as well as service to the university. Successful candidates will have a broad background in mathematics and proven teaching skills and will be able to help grow the math and related programs. 

A Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field is preferred, though candidates with a M.S. degree will be considered. The successful candidate must also demonstrate a willingness to support Mount Mercy's mission as a Catholic university providing student-focused education in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy. Mount Mercy University welcomes those of different faiths and is committed to excellence in education and community service.
