The Center for Mathematical Sciences (Centro de Ciencias Matemáticas, CCM) at the Campus Morelia of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) is looking for candidates for Postdoctoral Scholars.

The Center for Mathematical Sciences (Centro de Ciencias Matemáticas, CCM) is one of most important institutions dedicated to mathematics research in Mexico. It is situated in Morelia City and belongs to the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, UNAM), one of the largest and most important universities in Latin America.

The duration of a postdoctoral scholarship is one year with the possibility of extension to another year. Typically there are no teaching duties, although some funding sources may require some teaching at the graduate level.

Prior to submitting an application, a candidate must find a mentor among the researchers at the CCM, to get additional information, and discuss a research plan. All communication between the CCM and the candidate must be done through the proposed mentor. Applications must include:

A cover letter, an updated CV, two recommendation letters, a research plan, a work program, a list of published papers.

There are two dates to start the scholarship. The first date is to start in september 1st 2022, and the second one is to start in March 1st 2023.

To Start in september 2022, the deadline to submit the scholarship application is January 24, 2022.

To start in march 2023, the deadline to submit the scholarship application is June 6, 2022.
