The Mathematics and Computer Science department of Wheaton College (Wheaton, Illinois) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in the area of Statistics and Data Science at the Assistant Professor level. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2022. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a closely related discipline. Successful candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and liberal arts education with an intentionally Christian perspective. Applicants are sought with specialties in all areas, but especially in modern methods of Statistics and Data Science.
The ideal candidate will have a personal scholarly agenda and will promote undergraduate research while mentoring students in spiritual and personal growth. Responsibilities will include teaching the equivalent of a full six-course load per year, primarily in the areas of Statistics and Data Science, and curricular development. General faculty responsibilities include student advising and department and committee assignments.
