Position Details

The Department of Mathematics in the College of Social Sciences, Mathematics and Education at The University of Tampa is seeking candidates for a tenure track position in Statistics at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin fall 2024.

The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially based private institution of 10,500 undergraduate and graduate students. The University is ideally situated on a beautiful 110-acre campus next to the Hillsborough River, adjacent to Tampa's dynamic central business district, a growing, vibrant, diverse metropolitan area. Qualifications

Responsibilities will include teaching three four-credit courses at the undergraduate level, primarily in data science and statistics, as well as maintaining an active research portfolio and participating in university service. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in statistics or mathematics with a concentration in statistics. This is an exciting time of growth at The University of Tampa, and our department is expanding in the areas of statistics, actuarial science and data science.
