A postdoctoral position in Arithmetic Geometry of up to 2 years, funded by the ERC project “Cohomology and Singularities” (PI: Kęstutis Česnavičius) is available at the Laboratoire de Mathématiques d’Orsay, Université Paris-Saclay. The successful candidate will be employed by the CNRS and is expected to start in the Fall of 2021, or earlier depending on personal circumstances. The position has no teaching responsibilities and includes funds for conference travel and for inviting visitors. An ideal candidate will have broad interests in Arithmetic Geometry and all candidates with a strong background either in Algebraic Geometry or in Number Theory (broadly interpreted) will be considered, with no a priori preference for the precise topics of their prior or ongoing research. With all benefits included, the total yearly remuneration is ~60,000 EUR with 2% increments. This amounts to a monthly salaire brut in the approximate range of 2700--3000 EUR, the precise amount depending on prior experience. The necessary application documents consist of the following.
