A short post-doctoral position is available at the Paris node of the project AGRUME funded by the French National Research Agency. The project coordinator is Itaï Ben Yaacov (in Lyon) and the Paris node coordinator is Tomas Ibarlucia. The main topics are model theory, descriptive set theory (Polish groups), ergodic theory, and topological dynamics, and applicants working in any of those or related areas are welcome. More information about the project is available on https://webusers.imj-prg.fr/~todor.tsankov/agrume/ The position will be based at Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu-PRG (site Université de Paris - Campus des Grands Moulins), in Paris. The duration of the position is six months. Given the short duration, the starting date is flexible between September 2020 and April 2021, to be agreed with the candidate, who is encouraged to eventually accommodate this with another offer. CNRS sets salaries individually based on experience but someone completing their PhD in 2019/2020 should expect a monthly salary of around 2100 € (net). There are no teaching duties. The application should include a cover letter stating the desired starting date, a CV, a list of publications, and a research statement. Applicants should also arrange for at least two recommendation letters. For further information regarding this announcement, please write to agrume@math.univ-lyon1.fr. To receive full consideration, application materials and letters of recommendation should be uploaded before January 24th, 2020. |
