ICMAT Quantum Information Theory Postdoctoral Call

Call for applications -- starting 2026

The Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas (ICMAT) offers one postdoctoral position in Mathematics and Quantum Information Theory. The position is aimed at outstanding early-career researchers who wish to pursue their research career at ICMAT. 

The successful candidate will join the Ignacio Cirac Lab at ICMAT, coordinated by David Perez-Garcia, which focuses on the mathematical aspects of quantum technologies.

Contract & Timeline

Duration: 24 months

Start date: Flexible, but no later than 1 October 2026 (negotiable)

Interviews: Shortlisted applicants may be invited to an interview.

Results announced: Successful candidates will be contacted by 15 January 2026.
