Teaching Assistant Professor Positions: School of Mathematics, Nanjing University, China
Description
The School of Mathematics at Nanjing University invites applications for two non-tenure-track Teaching Assistant Professor positions. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, or a related interdisciplinary field. The initial appointment is for three years, renewable upon review. The annual salary is fixed at ¥180,000 RMB (pre-tax), inclusive of benefits. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 360 hours per academic year.
Nanjing University is one of China’s most prestigious institutions of higher education. Founded in 1921, the Department of Mathematics has built a worldwide reputation and is widely recognized for its outstanding contributions to higher education and its significant influence across many areas of mathematical research.

Qualifications
• Applicants must comply with the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and scientific research.
• Applicants must possess good teaching ethics, adhere to academic integrity, and maintain diligent work performance, with no criminal record or disciplinary actions related to teaching or academic ethics.
• A Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or Statistics is required.
• Successful candidates must have a verified record of research competence, including at least one published SCI paper.
• Candidates should be capable of teaching core undergraduate courses.
• Candidates are expected to teach at least 360 class hours per year, and the average student evaluation score for each tutored course must be no less than 4.80 (on a 5.00 scale).
