Position Description

Due to research needs, the research group of Professor Huailiang Chang at the Institute for Math & AI, Wuhan, and the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Wuhan University, is now inviting applications for postdoctoral research positions from both domestic and international candidates. The recruitment is open on a rolling basis, with an application deadline of August 31, 2026. Outstanding early-career researchers are warmly encouraged to apply.

Supervisor Profile
Professor Huailiang Chang received his Ph.D. degree from Stanford University in 2007. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Italy. His research focuses on mathematical physics and enumerative algebraic geometry. His research group has resolved the BCOV Feynman conjecture (1993) for quintic Calabi–Yau manifolds, the Yamaguchi–Yau finite generation conjecture and the holomorphic anomaly equation conjecture (2004) on the analyticity of curve-counting generating functions, and discovered algebraic P-fields, initiating an algebraic-geometric construction of A-model Landau–Ginzburg string theory. His work has been published in leading journals including G&T, Inventiones Math., Annals of Mathematics, and JDG. His recent interests include the mathematical formulation of path integrals (measures) using geometric, algebraic, and probabilistic methods.
