The Department of Mathematics and Physical Sciences at The College of Idaho
invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor for the
2021–2022 academic year. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal
for a second year. The department seeks candidates who hold a doctoral degree in
mathematics, computer science, or a related field. Candidates from marginalized
or underrepresented communities are especially encouraged to apply. The
successful applicant must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching
undergraduate courses in a liberal arts context. Duties of the position include
teaching undergraduate courses in mathematics and/or computer science. Please
note that we have a similar second position (Math and Statistics) open. Applicants
wishing to be considered for both positions may kindly indicate this in the
cover letter.

including at least one who can address quality of teaching in detail

Candidates must be authorized to
work in the United States as of the expected hire date and throughout the date
of the contract without sponsorship from the College.
