The Department of Science and Mathematics invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Math, beginning August 2022. The successful applicant will be hired on a three-year renewable contract with the possibility of transitioning to a tenure-track contract at a later date. We seek a generalist to teach geometry, probability, and other introductory level courses. Outstanding candidates in all areas of math will be considered. A Ph.D. in mathematics or a related discipline is preferred; however, candidates who are ABD will also be considered. The teaching load is four courses, or 12 credits, per semester. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience employing student-centered learning strategies. Although Clarke University heavily prioritizes teaching in the liberal arts tradition, evidence of professional activity and service are also desired. The successful candidate will participate in department and university activities.
