The Department of Mathematics at Ohio University invites applications for a Visiting Professor in Mathematics, beginning in Fall 2023. The position is not tenure track, but is renewable annually for a maximum of three years based upon available funding and performance. The expected teaching schedule is 4-5 classes per semester, not to exceed 16 credit hours per semester. Most classes will be in person.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related area by start date. Experience teaching undergraduate Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related area.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference given to candidates also possessing a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education or a closely related field.

Demonstrated teaching excellence at the undergraduate level.

Experience teaching courses considered equivalent to OHIO University undergraduate Mathematics courses under the State of Ohio’s OT36 transfer system.
