| The department requires faculty to maintain a strong commitment to teaching and research as well as service in support of UA Little Rock’s mission. The department offers undergraduate degrees in mathematics, a master’s degree in mathematical sciences, a graduate certificate in applied statistics, and advises Ph.D. students. Applicants should provide evidence of potential for excellence in both teaching and research. Teaching duties include both undergraduate and graduate classes in standard load aligned in UA at Little Rock. Evidence of publications, presentations, and/or project funding will be desirable for research. Service will include serving on committees within the department, the college, or the university as well as providing service towards mathematics education. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Required Education and Experience: Ph.D. in mathematics, mathematics education, or closely related area. The doctorate must be completed and awarded by the date of appointment (August 15, 2023).
Preferred Education and Experience: Candidates with experience teaching mathematics education courses and background of research in mathematics education.
