Position Title: Assistant Professor, Mathematics Position Location: Wingate Main Campus

Wingate University’s Department of Mathematics invites applications for a security track Assistant or Associate Professor position to begin in August 2023.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate will be expected to effectively teach a variety of Mathematics courses at the undergraduate level. The Department encourages applications from all areas of mathematics with a preference given to Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Analytics. Normal teaching load is 12 contact hours each semester on a nine-month security eligible contract. Additional expectations include scholarship and service to the University and profession. ● Regular, predictable attendance on campus ● Alignment with University mission, vision, and strategic roadmap ● Other job duties/responsibilities may be assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

A strong commitment to excellent teaching is essential. A Ph.D. is required for the Assistant Professor position. Candidates who are ABD would be hired at the Instructor rank and moved to Assistant Professor after successful completion of the Ph.D. Commitment to actively support and advance DEI initiatives.
