To continue our impressive growth we are seeking a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in our Department of Mathematics at our downtown New York City campus. 

Position Summary:

Dyson College of Arts and Sciences of Pace University is seeking applicants for a faculty position at the rank of assistant professor (tenure track) in Statistics in the Department of Mathematics on the New York City campus to begin September 1, 2023. The successful candidate will teach courses in statistics and mathematics. In addition, faculty provide feedback to students to promote academic success with an emphasis on building mathematical confidence and promoting mathematical rigor in coursework. Faculty also provide service to the Department, College, University, and professional community with a strong emphasis on improving student learning outcomes and student success. Faculty assist in planning curriculum and assessments and will assist the chair and associate chair in providing support for adjunct faculty. Moreover, this position will help in further developing our current statistics courses and programs along with creating new programs in statistics and data science. Tenure track faculty are expected to develop research/scholarship plans, and publish and present their research in academic journals and professional conferences. 

Position Qualifications: 

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, or applied mathematics with a statistics focus, or related field. Prior teaching experience at the higher education level is preferred, and applicants must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
