The University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, invites applications for a position of

Full professor or assistant professor (tenure track, ending in a full professorship) in geometry (100%)

Job description: The successful candidate will teach various courses at the Bachelor and Master’s levels in mathematics, as well as in other curricula (full professor: 7h per week, assistant professor: 4h per week). The candidate is expected to establish an internationally recognized research program in geometry. He or she will supervise master's and doctoral theses and participate in the administrative tasks of the institute and the faculty. Courses are taught in French, requiring a commitment to obtain sufficient fluency in French within two years.

Requirements: PhD in mathematics, with internationally recognized research experience, fundraising ability, solid teaching, mentoring experience and administrative skills.

Starting date: February 1st, 2025 or upon agreement.
