- Generally, candidates should be under the age of 35 at the time of application, with a robust academic background and a demonstrated potential for making significant contributions in their field.
- Applicants should have completed their doctoral degree within three years of the application submission date, or met the basic requirements for defending a doctoral dissertation at the time of application.
- Having identified a research team or group and collaborated with the team leader or advisor to develop a preliminary research plan.
- Meeting other relevant regulations regarding postdoctoral management at Wuhan University.
Application Process:1. Salary and Benefits: The annual salary generally ranges from 180,000 to 300,000 RMB (pre-tax), inclusive of university stipends, mentorship bonuses, and year-end research performance rewards. Exceptionally outstanding candidates may be recommended for the "Hongyi Postdoctoral Fellowship" or key-funded postdoctoral positions. Specific salaries are subject to relevant university regulations and may be supplemented by various national, Hubei Province, and Wuhan City postdoctoral project grants.2. Research Projects: Strong support is provided for applying for the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program.3. Other Benefits: Provident fund, pension insurance, occupational annuity, postdoctoral apartments or housing subsidies, as well as benefits such as children’s school enrollment and medical care, are provided. "Hongyi Postdoctoral Fellows" have priority access to postdoctoral apartments.4. Career Development: Eligible for applying to associate senior positions. Candidates who meet the university’s talent introduction policies and the postdoctoral exit requirements may apply for faculty positions.

(3) Academic and research achievements materials: Papers, books, patents or awards representing the applicant's academic and research level, as well as involvement in research projects. For papers, please provide the full text (unpublished papers should be accompanied by acceptance certificates) and indexing certificates. For books, please provide covers, tables of contents, and abstracts. For patents or awards, please provide certificates. For involvement in research projects, please provide relevant supporting materials.
(4) Identification materials: Valid ID card (passport for foreign nationals); doctoral degree certificate, graduation certificate (recent doctoral graduates should provide proof of meeting the requirements for doctoral graduation, and overseas degrees and diplomas must be accompanied by the "Certificate of Authentication of Foreign Academic Credentials" issued by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange).
(5) Three letters of recommendation, including one from the doctoral supervisor (no restrictions on the recommender for postdoctoral fellows already in station), signed by the recommender and sent from the recommender's email address. - The Institute for Math & AI, Wuhan (IMAI), in conjunction with the school where the postdoctoral station is located, will organize a panel of experts to conduct online or offline interviews with the qualified candidates.
- Candidates who pass the interview will undergo a physical examination at the designated hospital. Those who pass the physical examination can follow the procedures for applying for admission to the station as outlined on the Wuhan University Human Resources Department website.
