Position Description:

General Instructions: The Center for Statistical Science at Peking University is a cross-campus statistical science center. The members of the center include statistics teachers from the School of Mathematical Sciences, Guanghua School of Management, and School of Public Health of Peking University. The goal of the center is to integrate the schools of statistics from different faculties to produce high-quality statistical research and engage in interdisciplinary collaborations within this leading university in China. Job Description: Establish open-level tenure or tenure-track faculty positions in conjunction with the Department of Probability and Statistics (DPS) or the Department of Financial Mathematics (DFM) in the School of Mathematical Sciences; Department of Biostatistics, School of Public Health. Interested candidates may contact Prof. Fang Yao (fyao@math.pku.edu.cn) for details of the position and selection criteria. Candidates need to possess a Ph.D. in statistics or a related field and are expected to conduct innovative research at the highest level in a wide range of areas of statistics/data science, including machine learning, actuarial science, mathematical finance, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, etc.; Establish an internationally renowned program; Strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching. Salary range: Salary that is regionally competitive, depending on appointment and experience level.
