The Kerala School of Mathematics (KSoM) invites applications for the permanent positions of Assistant Professor (Fellow). KSoM is a national research institute dedicated to fundamental mathematics, fostering a vibrant academic environment with advanced research programs and graduate teaching. Eligibility

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and have at least three years of postdoctoral research experience with a strong publication record. The age of the candidate should not exceed 35 years, with relaxations for exceptional candidates.

Research Areas

Applications are welcome from all areas of mathematics, with emphasis on the following:

• Algebra & Number Theory (including Representation Theory, Arithmetic Geometry etc.)

• Algebraic Geometry

• Geometry & Topology (Differential, Symplectic, Low-dimensional topology, etc.)

• Analysis (Real, Complex, Harmonic, Functional, etc.)

• Partial Differential Equations (PDEs)

• Probability & Stochastic Processes

Selection Procedure

The selection will prioritize originality and international recognition in research. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to KSoM to present a seminar and engage with faculty. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee shortlisting, and the institute reserves the right not to fill the position if no suitable candidate is found.
