Position Description:

The International Institute for Mathematical Sciences at Jilin University invites outstanding candidates to apply for several tenure-track assistant professor positions starting in Fall 2026 in general areas of mathematics and applied mathematics. Exceptional candidates at higher ranks can also be considered.

In addition to pursuing research, successful candidates will have reduced teaching responsibilities, consisting of teaching up to three courses per year in English for the dual degree program with the University of Alberta. An adjunct faculty appointment at the University of Alberta may be made concurrently with the regular appointment at Jilin University.

The job benefits adhere to the standards for Tang Aoqing Young Scholars at Jilin University, which amounts to an annual pre - tax salary of 250,000 RMB (equivalent to approximately 36,000 US dollars per year before tax).
