The researcher will work on a research project in the framework of ADAM^2: Analysis, Design and Manufacturing, using Microstructures, funded by FET Open Project #862025. Possible research topics include, but are not limited to: simulations of 5-axis hybrid manufacturing, in particular 3D printing and 5- axis computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining, free-form surface rationalization, and tool-shape design and optimization. Previous experience in geometric modeling projects is particularly welcome. Contract: 1+1 years (the second-year contract is conditioned by a positive performance evaluation of the first year) Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and present research ideas to researchers with different background. Ability to clearly present and publish research outcomes in spoken (talks) and written (papers) form. High level of spoken and written English. Good communication and interpersonal skills |
