The Mathematics Department at The University of Alabama invites applications for two renewable full-time instructor positions. The appointment will begin on August 16, 2022 and is a two-year term with the possibility of renewal based on funding, availability, and performance. The successful candidates will primarily teach lower division courses ranging among college algebra, precalculus and trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra. An ideal candidate will have experience coordinating multi-section courses, teaching in both large and small lectures, and will also have some experience in computer programming languages (MATLAB in particular), and learning management systems (such as Blackboard), and have some experience teaching online classes and working in a mathematics tutoring center or similar environment. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field with at least 18 credit hours of graduate level mathematics.
