The Department of Mathematics at the University of Alabama seeks applications for a postdoctoral position. This position is renewable annually for up to two years and includes some teaching duties. Candidates are expected to carry out research in collaboration with members of members of the Applied Mathematics research group. Research of ideal candidates should have applications in materials science or analysis of partial differential equations. Applications are encouraged from excellent candidates with research interests in mathematics. The minimum requirement at the time of the appointment is a Ph.D. or other terminal degree in a field of research in mathematics.
