The University of West Florida is located in Pensacola Florida, in the western-most part of the panhandle. The university has a student population of about 13,000. The department of mathematics and statistics consists of 21 faculty, about 100 undergraduate majors, and about 300 graduates majoring in mathematical sciences and data science.
