The University of Luxembourg is looking for its Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication (Mathematics Research Unit, Research Cluster Algebra and Number Theory) for 

1 post-doc in Mathematics (Number Theory, Arithmetic Geometry) (M/F) 

• Ref: F1-50011684 
• 24 months fixed-term contract, 40 hours/week. Starting 1 May 2019, or later 
• Employee status  

The position will be integrated into the PRIDE project Geometry, Probability and Their Synergies (GPS) funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR). 


Tasks 
• Research in Arithmetic Geometry, Number Theory or related areas.
• Teaching activity of 2-4 hours per week. 
• Active participation in and support of the organization of the activities of the research group.

Your Profile 
• PhD of high quality. 
• Research experience in Arithmetic Geometry, Number Theory, or a related field. 
• Very good written and oral skills in English.
