Position Description

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University invites applications for two assistant professor, nine-month, tenure-track positions in Statistics/Data Science (DS)/Topological Data Analysis (TDA), beginning on August 1, 2025. Candidates with expertise in all areas of statistics, topological data analysis (TDA), and data science are desired. An earned doctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, and Data Science or a closely related field is required by the appointment start date. Successful candidates are expected to pursue independent research and teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English and possess excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
