Boston College Department of Mathematics Tenure-track / Tenured Position The Department of Mathematics at Boston College invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position in Geometry, Topology and Dynamics at the level of Assistant Professor or higher beginning in Fall 2024; candidates at all levels are encouraged to apply. Requirements include a Ph.D. or equivalent in Mathematics awarded in 2022 or earlier, a record of very strong research combined with outstanding research potential, and demonstrated excellence in teaching mathematics. Research active faculty at Boston College typically teach three semester courses per year. A completed application should contain a cover letter, a brief description of research plans, a brief teaching statement, a curriculum vitae, and at least four letters of recommendation. One or more of the letters of recommendation should comment on the candidate's teaching credentials. Candidates, especially those applying at the tenured level, are encouraged to discuss professional service, leadership and outreach experience in their teaching and research statements (as applicable).
