Position Description

The School of Mathematics and Statistics (SMS) at Central China Normal University (CCNU, 华中师范大学) in Wuhan, P. R. China, is seeking promising and outstanding candidates in all fields of mathematics and statistics for appointments at all levels, beginning August 2026 or sooner.

About SMS at CCNU:
SMS at CCNU has its root in a mathematical subject that can be traced back to 1924, making it one of the flagship schools at CCNU. Currently SMS boasts a student body of around 1,600 undergraduates and over 600 graduate students (including 50 international scholars), together with over 120 faculty members whose research interests encompass a diverse range of pivotal fields, including (but not limited to): Nonlinear PDEs, Geometric Analysis, Harmonic & Functional Analysis, Algebra, Number Theory, Coding & Cryptography, Graph Theory & Combinatorics, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Computational & Applied Mathematics, Dynamical Systems & Mathematical Biology. It hosts the Key Laboratory of Nonlinear Analysis and Its Applications in Chinese Ministry of Education, as well as Hubei Key Laboratory of Mathematical Physics. Qualifications: 
Applicants must have PhD in Mathematics/Statistics or a closely related discipline. Candidates with at least two year post-doctoral experience are mostly welcome. Strong research accomplishments or demonstrable potentials for future research excellence are preferred. A firm commitment to achieving the excellence in mentoring both graduate and undergraduate students.
