The Department of Mathematics at the College of Staten Island is accepting applications for a Lecturer line in Mathematics starting Fall 2018. The successful candidate shall have demonstrated enthusiasm and success with teaching and curriculum development. 

The new Lecturer will also serve as coordinator for our developmental math program and supervise our 100-level College Algebra course. It is expected that the candidate should be able to teach courses in the department at all levels of curriculum. This particular position will receive three hours of release time per semester in order to coordinate the developmental math program. This position is eligible for a Certificate of Continuing Employment after five years. Although the lecturer line position has no requirement of research publications, in the interest of long-term success within a research-active department, it is expected that the successful candidate will demonstrate mathematical interest outside of teaching responsibilities.

Minimum requirements are a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or a related field. Further graduate study is considered a plus.

$45,750 - $74,454 commensurate with experience.
