Pay Range:
$35,200 - $148,000. Mines takes into consideration a combination of candidate’s education, training and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, work location, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees. The Opportunity: The Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics (AMS) at the Colorado School of Mines (Mines) invites applications for a full-time teaching faculty position to begin in August 2021. The position is non tenure-track at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in statistics, data science, numerical methods, and/or applied mathematics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach undergraduate courses in those areas. There may also be opportunities to teach courses at the Master's level. Further, the successful candidate will be expected to coordinate multi-section courses and collaborate effectively in curriculum development, innovative pedagogy, and other departmental service. A qualified applicant will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. AMS is developing a range of online courses. Therefore, please note any online courses that you may be developing now or in the future. Candidates must exhibit the potential and desire to be involved in the improvement of AMS degree programs.
