Pay Range:
$50,000 - $83,000. Mines takes into consideration a combination of candidate’s education, training and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, work location, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees. The Opportunity: The Colorado School of Mines (Mines) invites applications for a non-tenure track, Assistant Teaching Professor who will actively participate in teaching new and existing curriculum within the subject of Quantitative Bioscience and Engineering (QBE). Mines is currently developing a new multi- and interdisciplinary undergraduate program at the interface between biology, physics, chemistry, computer science, engineering, data science, and mathematics. We are particularly interested in candidates who have the potential and desire to work closely with existing faculty to develop our QBE curriculum, including a two-semester, sophomore-junior level course, Introduction to Quantitative Bioscience and Engineering. There may also be opportunities to teach graduate level courses within our QBE graduate program. A qualified applicant will have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
