The Mathematics Department of Cornell University invites applications for open rank Visiting Professors (Assistant, Associate, or Full) or Visiting Lecturers (rank will be commensurate with experience) for one or two semesters during the 2024-2025 academic year, beginning August 16, 2024, or January 1, 2025.  Responsibilities include teaching up to four courses per year.  Experience teaching large lectures is desirable. At least one reference should address teaching. A Ph.D. in mathematics is required. The department anticipates making offers as early as February 1, 2023. Deadline to apply is January 5, 2024.

Expected hiring salary for open rank Visiting Professors (Assistant, Associate, or Full) is between $54,000 - $60,000/full-time, nine-month.

Expected hiring salary for a Visiting Lecturer is based on a per course rate of $10,250 to $13,000.

Actual salary offers in the College of Arts & Sciences will be based on education, experience, discipline, and relevant skills.
