The University of Denver is a medium-size (12,000 students) private university located in a thriving metropolis at the base of the Rocky Mountains. The Department of Mathematics offers Bachelor's, Master's and PhD degrees in mathematics. Class sizes are small, the teaching load is moderate and the salary is competitive. The department has an extraordinarily active faculty of accomplished researchers and teachers.

The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor position to begin in the fall quarter of 2019. This is a non-tenure track position that is renewable annually for a maximum of two years. The successful candidates will teach seven undergraduate courses over a three-quarter academic year. Teaching schedule may vary from quarter to quarter. Teaching professors help serve the department by participating in curricula development, working on departmental and university committees, contributing to assessment of the program and assuming other duties as assigned by the department chair. Candidates must have completed a PhD degree in mathematics before September 1, 2019 and must show evidence of high quality teaching of mathematics at the collegiate level.
