The Department of Mathematics at Drexel University invites applications for one tenure-track assistant professorship, effective September 2023. The department broadly seeks candidates with research foci in applied and computational mathematics. It is especially interested in applied probability, stochastic processes, and related fields, including statistics, high performance computing, data science, and stochastic differential equations. Demonstrated excellence in research and potential for external funding is expected. Candidates should additionally have a proven track-record of, and interest in, highly effective undergraduate teaching. Candidates should hold PhD or Doctorate in a mathematical science or equivalent and have 2 years experience teaching and research at the collegiate level. Applications should include: a cover letter, curriculum vitae, at least four letters of recommendation, including one discussing teaching effectiveness, a research statement, and a teaching statement.
