The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science in the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts at Duquesne University invites applications for a non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor position in mathematics, to span the 2021-2022 academic year, beginning fall 2021. The standard teaching load for NTT faculty is 12 credits per semester, which is likely to consist of three Calculus courses at the 100-200 level (four credits each), although there is potential to teach upper-level courses depending on qualifications. Additionally, the candidate will have opportunities to engage in undergraduate research and mentorship.

The successful candidate will join 17 other full-time departmental faculty. The department offers undergraduate majors in mathematics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, and cybersecurity studies, as well as a multidisciplinary Master's program in computational mathematics and statistics and a Master's degree in computer science.

REQUIREMENTS:

• The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in mathematics. • Must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education.
